Hyundai SantaFe (CM) is the second generation of Hyundai SantaFe with 2.2 CRDI and 2.0 CRDI engine produced from year 2006 to 2011 and the euro4 models were produced from 2006 to 2009 with EDC16C39 ECU.

EGR Valve Location:

In Hyundai SantaFe CM the Intercooler is mounted on top of the engine, so to get access to the EGR valve must remove the intercooler and disconnect the inlet and outlet boost hoses.

Look behind the engine you’ll see the EGR valve and EGR valve cooler beside it.

DPF Temperature locations

The Upstream DPF temperature sensor is screwed just before the DPF canister, which is usually used to monitor exhaust temp going into the DPF for regen control.

The Downstream DPF temperature sensor is screwed into the exhaust right after the DPF. Used to confirm temps through/after the filter during regen.
